Beyond the UK, we’ve delivered projects funded by major international financial institutions, encompassing diverse work such as urban development in Lagos, Nigeria, asset management in Uganda, and infrastructure advancements in over 100 countries.
We’ve played a key role in upgrading urban landscapes like Lagos, Nigeria, and optimising asset management strategies in Uganda. Ranjith Gunaratne
Chairman,
Roughton Group
Ranjith was appointed Chairman of Roughton following MG Group’s acquisition of a majority shareholding in 2017. He brings decades of leadership experience across engineering consultancy, infrastructure development, and strategic investment in emerging markets. As Chairman, Ranjith plays a key role in steering the company’s long-term vision and international growth. He is also actively involved in fostering partnerships with governments, multilateral agencies, and private sector stakeholders, ensuring Roughton remains at the forefront of sustainable infrastructure and development consultancy.
Prabhath Jayasundara
Deputy Chairman,

Prabhath Jayasundara, Deputy Chairman of MG Group, was appointed as a Director of Roughton following MG Group’s strategic expansion into international consultancy. He brings expertise in advising executives, boards, and investors across multiple sectors on how macroeconomic forces, geopolitical shifts, and global trends shape long-term strategy and capital allocation. His insight and strategic foresight supports Roughton’s management in navigating complex markets and aligning the company’s growth with emerging global priorities.
Stephen Kimmett

Stephen joined Roughton in 2013 as Finance Director and was appointed Chief Executive shortly after MG acquired a majority shareholding in 2017. He has extensive experience in the Consulting sector including being a member of the management team that floated Scott Wilson on the London Stock Exchange in 2006. Stephen has Board responsibility for advising clients on Corporate Finance and Strategy
Nalini Senasekera

Nalini advises on strategic and operational matters across South and South East Asia, bringing deep regional insight and a strong track record in guiding complex initiatives. With extensive experience in both public and private sector engagements, she plays a key role in shaping Roughton’s presence and partnerships in emerging markets. Her expertise spans across infrastructure development, regulatory environments, and stakeholder alignment—ensuring that projects are not only technically sound but also contextually effective.
Serghei Polisciuc

Serghei joined Roughton in 2019. Based in Moldova Serghei has responsibility for delivering lasting transformations for clients in Eastern Europe and Central Asia. With a focus on sustainable development and long-term impact, Serghei works closely with clients, governments, and international funding institutions to drive infrastructure projects that enhance regional connectivity and economic growth.
